Obituary for Loraine Wilds Lisenby
Lorain Wilds Lisenby, age 83, was called home Wed morning, October 4 at Randolph Nursing Home in Winchester, IN. She was born June 24, 1934 near Three Links, KY (Jackson County) to George Milas and Lillie Eversole Wilds, the fifth of six children. She came to Richmond at 14 where she lived until more recently. She held various jobs but made many lifelong friends at Decca Records and Huffy. She was married to her husband George for over 52 years and shared many hobbies with him. She loved to travel across the US hunting for adventure, sometimes including her brother Junior. She was always up to visiting her Mother while living. She loved playing bingo and going to Casino's with friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Milas in 1939, mother Lillie in 1999, brother Lawrence "Sonny" Wilds, Paris, KY and George Milas Jr "Junior" Wilds, also of Paris, KY, sister Elizabeth Wilds Abrams of Berea, KY and Margie Wilds White of McKee, Ky. She is survived by her brother John "JD" (Brenda) of McKee, KY, daughters Marilyn Tevis of Galt, Ca, Fonda Wild of Richmond, IN, Tami Mullins-Blalock of Shoals, NC and son Blaine (Linda) Van Winkle of Richmond, IN. She also had 11 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She had three brother in-laws, Charles Lisenby of Richmond, Vanna Lisenby of West Monroe, LA and Joseph "Jake" Lisenby of Palmer, Alaska.
