Obituary for Georgia Edith Lamb
Georgia Edith Lamb, age 65 of Miracle Street, passed away, Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
Georgia was born in Grassy Branch to the late Taylor and Eva Baker Morgan. She was retired from Dresser Industries and a member of the holiness faith and attended Crestview Holy Sanctuary.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Lamb, one son Eddie “Pee Wee” Lamb; and three brothers, Eugene Morgan, Lowell Morgan, and Joe Morgan.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Denise Green and Wendy Walters; one brother, Cephus “Push” Morgan; three sisters Gewondine McKinney, Geraldine Collins, and Winnie Duff; five grandchildren, Heather Thomas, Ronald Ray Green, Jr., Jacob Green, Taylor Walters, and Evan Walters; and two great grandchildren, Logan Green and Noah Hacker.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 16, 2017, 7:00 pm at Crestview Holy Sanctuary with Rev. Harold Eads and Rev. Ritchie Howard officiating. Burial will on Thursday at the Morgan-Collins Cemetery in Leslie County. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7pm at the church.
